Placeholder post. This is scaffolding content so the blog list, post layout, table of contents and sitemap all have something real to render. Replace or delete it before launch.
Every submission starts the same way: an email with attachments, in whatever format the broker happened to use. What follows is usually twenty minutes of reading, rekeying, and cross-checking before anyone can make an underwriting decision.
What the intake step actually does
When a submission arrives, the platform works through it in three passes.
1. Classification
Each attachment is identified before anything is extracted — an ACORD 125 is read differently from a five-year loss run, and both are read differently from a schedule of values.
2. Extraction
Named insured, effective dates, exposures, coverages, limits, and prior loss history are pulled into a structured record. Values that cannot be read confidently are flagged rather than guessed.
3. Enrichment
The structured record is checked against your appetite guidelines, so the submission arrives already scored for fit instead of waiting in a queue for someone to triage it.
What the underwriter sees
A single view with the exposure data laid out, every extracted field traceable back to the page it came from, and a short list of the values that need a human decision.
The goal is not to remove underwriting judgment. It is to stop spending that judgment on data entry.
Where to go next
Writing your own posts: drop a Markdown file into content/blog/, set
draft: false, and it appears in the list and the sitemap automatically. The
frontmatter schema lives in content.config.ts.
